About Alex Peric
More on thisWho is Alex Peric?
Alex Peric (Aleksandar Perić) is a CXL-certified conversion designer based in Serbia who designs and builds product pages, landing pages and websites for ecommerce, SaaS and lead generation companies, then A/B tests them to show what each change earned.
Is Alex Peric the same person as Aleksandar Perić?
Yes. Aleksandar Perić is my legal name and Alex Peric is the name I work under. Some older recommendations call me Aleksandar.
Where is Alex Peric based?
In Serbia. I work remotely with clients worldwide, in English.
What is Alex Peric's background?
I've worked in UX/UI design since 2018 and in conversion design since 2020, when I joined Spiralyze, an A/B testing agency. Since then I've worked in-house and freelance for ecommerce, SaaS and lead generation companies. I'm CXL certified in Conversion Optimization, Ecommerce Marketing, and Copywriting and Product Messaging, and I was a guest speaker at NYU School of Professional Studies in 2023 and 2025.
Is Alex Peric on LinkedIn?
Yes, at linkedin.com/in/alex-peric, with my experience, certifications and recommendations from clients and colleagues.
What results has Alex Peric's work had?
Clients have reported +27% conversion rate on a paid landing page, +23% on a landing page, +19% on a website redesign and +17% on product pages. My 16 case studies show each redesign and its A/B test result.
Working together
More on thisWhat exactly do you do?
I'm a conversion designer. I design product pages, landing pages and websites, A/B test them, and show you what each change earned. You get the design, the reason behind every change and the result.
Are you available for new work?
Yes, for freelance projects: one page, like a product page or a paid landing page, or an ongoing program of redesigns and tests with your team. Book a call and tell me what you need.
Do you only design, or do you also build the pages?
Both. I can hand your developers clean Figma files with every state, or build and launch the page myself, so it's live, fast and ready to test.
Which platforms do you work with?
I design in Figma and build custom-coded landing pages and sites that go live on your domain. On Shopify, Webflow or WordPress, I design for your platform and either build it or hand build-ready files to your team. For tests and research I work with your A/B testing tool, GA4, Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Ecommerce and DTC brands, SaaS companies and lead generation businesses, including local services that run ads. The common thread: you already have traffic and want more of it to become customers.
Do I need a lot of traffic to A/B test?
It helps. A test needs enough conversions to give a reliable answer. With lower traffic I lean on research (reviews, recordings, surveys) to make bigger, safer changes, and compare results before and after instead.
How long does a project take?
An audit takes about a week. A product page or landing page usually takes one to three weeks from research to launch. A/B tests then run until they reach a clear result, often two to four weeks.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the scope: an audit, one page, a full website or ongoing testing. Book a call, tell me what you need, and I'll send a fixed quote.
Product page design
More on thisWhat is conversion-focused product page design?
Conversion-focused product page design is a redesign of your product page template around the questions shoppers ask before they add to cart, built from your reviews, session recordings and analytics, then A/B tested against the current page.
Do you design for Shopify themes?
Yes. I design within what your theme can do, or plan custom sections with your developer. You get Figma files that map cleanly to Shopify sections.
Can you redesign one product page or the whole template?
Usually the template, so every product benefits. If one hero product drives most revenue, we can start there and roll the winner out.
How do you know what to change?
From evidence: session recordings, heatmaps, customer reviews, support questions and your analytics. Every change in the design links back to a finding.
Landing page design
More on thisWhat makes a landing page for paid ads convert?
A landing page turns paid clicks into leads or sales when its headline repeats the ad's promise, it asks for one action, it puts proof next to that action and it loads fast on a phone.
Should I send ads to my homepage or a landing page?
For paid traffic, almost always a landing page. A homepage serves many audiences; a landing page serves the one your ad targets, and it's easy to test.
Do you write the copy?
Yes. I write it from your customer research, so the page sounds like your buyers, not like an agency.
Can you build the page too?
Yes. I can build and launch it myself, live on your domain and ready to test, or hand the Figma files to your developer.
Can you also design the ads?
I review your ads as part of the project and can suggest angles and layouts that match the page.
Website design
More on thisWhat does a conversion-focused website redesign include?
A conversion-focused website redesign covers strategy, sitemap, copy, UX and UI design and the build, planned so every page tells the right visitor what you do, why you, and what to do next.
Do you build the website too?
Yes, if you want me to. I can build it myself as a fast, custom-coded site on your domain, or hand build-ready files to your developer for Webflow, WordPress or Shopify.
How long does a website take?
Two to four weeks for most small and mid-size sites, depending on the number of page templates and how fast feedback comes back.
Will you write the content?
Yes, the core copy. You give me the facts and the customer insight; I turn them into pages.
CRO audit
More on thisWhat is a CRO audit?
A CRO audit is a review of your website or funnel that finds where and why visitors drop off, using analytics, session recordings, heatmaps, customer reviews and a heuristic review, and ranks the fixes by how much each one costs you.
What do you need from me?
View access to analytics, your recording or heatmap tool if you have one, and a short call about your customers and offer.
What if I don't have recordings or heatmaps?
I can set up Microsoft Clarity for free and collect a week of data, or work from analytics, reviews and a heuristic review.
Can you implement the fixes?
Yes. Most audits turn into a redesign or a series of A/B tests that I design.
A/B test design
More on thisWhat is A/B test design?
A/B test design turns research into tests worth running: a written hypothesis for each change, a high-fidelity variant for desktop and mobile, and a roadmap that runs the highest-impact ideas first.
Which testing tools do you work with?
Whatever you use: VWO, Convert, Optimizely, AB Tasty, Shopify apps, or your own setup. I deliver designs your developer can build into variants.
How much traffic do I need?
Enough to reach a reliable result in a few weeks. If you're below that, we make bigger changes and compare before and after instead.
Can you run the whole program?
Yes. I can own the research, ideas, design, test setup and readouts, and bring in your developer when a variant needs custom code.
Facebook & Instagram ads
More on thisWhat does a Facebook and Instagram ad designer do?
A Facebook and Instagram ad designer creates static and video Meta ads, each built around one promise; done well, each ad and the landing page it opens are designed together, so the click lands where the ad said it would.
How much does it cost to hire a Facebook ad designer?
It depends on how many angles and formats you need, and whether the landing page is included. After a short call I send a fixed project price.
What ad formats do you design?
Static feed ads (4:5 and 1:1), Stories and Reels (9:16), and short video ads, with several formats per angle so you can see which one your audience responds to.
Do the video ads have voiceover and captions?
They're designed to work without sound first, with clear on-screen text and room for captions. Voiceover and captions can be added on top.
Do you run the ad campaigns?
No. I design the ads, the landing page and the test structure, and work with whoever runs your ad account.
How many ad creatives should I test?
Start with three to five angles, each in a couple of formats. Find the winning angle first, then test variations of it.
Why design the ad and the landing page together?
Because people decide in the first seconds after the click whether they're in the right place. When the page repeats the ad's promise and offers the same first step, more of them stay and convert.
Hire a CRO expert
More on thisWhat does a CRO expert do?
A CRO (conversion rate optimization) expert finds out why website visitors don't buy or sign up, changes the pages to fix it, and measures the result with an A/B test.
How much does it cost to hire a CRO expert?
It depends on scope: an audit, a single page or an ongoing program. After a short call I send a fixed quote, so you know the cost before we start.
How fast will I see results?
An audit takes about a week. A redesign is usually ready in one to three weeks, and an A/B test then runs two to four weeks until the result is clear.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to your analytics, your current pages, and a short call about your customers and offer. Recordings, reviews and past test results help if you have them.
Why a freelance CRO expert instead of an agency?
You work directly with the person doing the work, things move faster, and you pay for senior work instead of account management.
Hire a conversion designer
More on thisWhat is a conversion designer?
A conversion designer is a UX/UI designer who designs pages to get visitors to act (buy, sign up, book a call) and judges the design by conversion rate and revenue rather than by looks.
How is a conversion designer different from a UI designer?
A UI designer makes the interface clear and on-brand. A conversion designer does that too, but starts from data and buyer psychology and judges the result by what the page earns.
Is a conversion designer the same as a CRO designer?
Yes, the terms are used interchangeably. Both describe a designer who specializes in conversion rate optimization.
Do you also write the copy?
Yes. Words and layout work together, so I write the copy as part of the design, based on customer research.
Do you build the pages too?
Yes. I can hand over organized Figma files with every state for your developer or agency, or build and launch the page myself so it's live and ready to test.
Freelance CRO consultant
More on thisWhat does a freelance CRO consultant do?
A freelance CRO consultant analyzes your website and funnel, finds what stops visitors from converting and gives you a ranked plan of fixes and tests, without an agency's overhead.
What does a CRO consultant do?
A CRO consultant analyzes your website and funnel to find what stops visitors from converting, recommends changes, and helps plan tests to prove which changes work.
How much does a freelance CRO consultant cost?
Less than an agency, usually, because there's no overhead. I quote per project (an audit or a redesign) or per month for ongoing work.
What will I get from an audit?
A prioritized list of problems with the evidence for each, wireframes of the proposed fixes, and a suggested order for testing them.
Do you work with small stores?
Yes. With lower traffic I focus on research and bigger changes rather than many small A/B tests.
Which tools do you use?
Your analytics (GA4 or similar), Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar for recordings, your testing tool, and Figma for the wireframes and designs.
Hire a landing page designer
More on thisWhat does a landing page designer do?
A landing page designer creates the page your ads send people to, with copy, layout and one call to action matched to the ad, so more paid clicks become leads or sales.
How much does a landing page designer cost?
It depends on research, copy and how many variants you need. After a short call I send a fixed project price.
Do you build the page too?
Yes. I can build and launch it myself, custom-coded on your domain, or design it for Unbounce, Webflow or Shopify and hand it to your developer.
What makes a landing page convert?
A clear promise that matches the ad, one obvious action, proof near that action, answers to the main objections, and a fast mobile layout.
How long until it's ready?
One to three weeks from kickoff to handoff for most landing pages.
Shopify CRO expert
More on thisWhat does a Shopify CRO expert do?
A Shopify CRO expert finds why a store's visitors don't buy and redesigns the product pages, collections and cart to fix it, usually inside the current theme rather than with a rebuild.
Why is my Shopify store getting traffic but no sales?
Usually one of a few things: the product page doesn't answer key questions, shipping or price surprises appear late, trust is missing, or the traffic doesn't match the offer. An audit shows which one it is for your store.
Do I need a new Shopify theme?
Rarely. Most gains come from changing what's on the product page and how it's ordered, which works within your current theme.
Which Shopify A/B testing apps do you work with?
Any of them. I deliver designs and test plans that your developer or app can set up.
Do you build in Shopify?
I design Shopify-ready sections in Figma and work with your developer or agency to build them.
What does a Shopify CRO audit include?
A review of your homepage, collections, product pages, cart and checkout, recordings and analytics, and a prioritized fix list with wireframes.
CRO for Ecommerce
More on thisHow do you increase an ecommerce store's conversion rate?
Start with the product page and the path from cart to checkout: answer shoppers' questions where they hesitate, make variants and prices clear, put reviews and guarantees near the button, and A/B test each change.
What's a good ecommerce conversion rate?
It varies a lot by industry, price and traffic source, so compare against your own past numbers and segments first. The question that matters is where your visitors drop off, and why.
What should I fix first on my store?
Usually the product page and the path from add-to-cart to checkout, because that's where most buying decisions and drop-offs happen.
Do you work with Shopify, WooCommerce or custom stores?
All of them. I design in Figma for your platform. See my Shopify CRO page for Shopify specifics.
Can you help raise average order value?
Yes: bundles, upsells, free shipping thresholds and clearer pricing are all part of the design work.
CRO for DTC brands
More on thisHow do DTC brands get more first orders from paid traffic?
DTC brands win more first orders when each ad lands on a page that continues its angle, says what makes the product different in the first screen, makes the offer easy to understand and shows customer proof where shoppers hesitate.
Should DTC ads go to the product page or a landing page?
Test it. A dedicated landing page often wins for cold traffic because it can tell a fuller story; a strong product page can win for warm traffic.
What makes DTC product pages convert?
A clear benefit-led headline, proof from real customers, easy variant selection, a visible offer and answers to the top objections.
Do you design ad creatives?
I review ads as part of landing page work and can suggest angles and layouts that match the page.
Can you work with our agency?
Yes. I often work alongside agencies as their conversion design partner.
CRO for SaaS & B2B
More on thisHow do you get more trials and demos from a SaaS website?
A SaaS website gets more trials and demos when the first screen says what the product does and who it's for, shows the product, makes pricing easy to compare and asks only for the form fields sales really needs.
What should a SaaS homepage test first?
Usually the first screen: the headline, the visual that shows the product and the main call to action. That's where most visitors decide whether to stay.
Do multi-step demo forms convert better?
Often, when the first step is easy and the hard questions come later. It's a good test to run.
Do you do product (in-app) design?
My focus is the marketing site and signup flows, where conversion happens before the product.
Can you work with our growth team?
Yes. I fit into your sprint process and deliver test-ready designs.
CRO for Lead generation
More on thisHow do you get more leads from a landing page?
A landing page gets more leads when the offer and the next step are clear, the form is short and starts with easy questions, real reviews sit next to the form, and lead quality is tracked alongside lead volume.
Are multi-step forms better for lead generation?
Often, especially when the first question is easy and contact details come last. It's one of the first things I test.
How do you measure lead quality?
With your CRM data: booked calls, qualified leads or sales, used as a guardrail next to conversion rate.
Should I show the phone number?
For many local and service businesses, yes. Some people would rather call, and it adds trust.
What should a lead gen landing page include?
A clear offer, a short form, proof near the form, answers to the main worries and a description of what happens after they submit.
Let's talk
Let's find out why your visitors aren't buying.
Send me the page. On the call I'll tell you what I'd fix first, what it could move, and whether I'm the right person for it.
